Please note that these terms & conditions and guidance notes for guests should be read before signing and returning the booking form. 1. The accommodation hereinafter called “the property” is offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by Robert Tabaka hereinafter called “the owner” to the person renting hereinafter called “the client”. 2. For reservation of the property the client should complete and sign the booking form and arrange payment of a non-refundable 30% deposit. Upon receipt of both the signed booking form and a 30% deposit a confirmation will be sent to the client. Please ensure that all details are correct on this confirmation. This will act as formal acceptance of the booking. The balance of the rental sum is payable NO LESS than 2 calendar months before the start of the rental period. Should this payment be overdue the owner reserves the right to consider the booking cancelled. No refund shall be made unless the property is subsequently re-let for the same period although any extra costs incurred will be deducted from the due refund. The client is strongly recommended to take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy, including cancellation cover and to have full cover for personal belongings, loss, theft, breakages, public liability etc. as these are not covered by the owners insurance. 3. A security caution for any breakages or if the property is left in an unsatisfactory condition of £1000 or 1200 euros is payable with the final balance payment. This sum will be reimbursed to the client in the week following the rental period after a full exit inventory has been performed on the property, by electronic bank transfer. The sum of the security deposit does not limit the clients’ liability to the owner. Any damage exceeding this deposit will be charged to the client directly. 4. The owner will not be liable for any defect or stoppage in the supply of services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the property, garden or swimming pool. Or for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or any other matter beyond the control of the owner. 5. The property will be available to the client from 16.00 hours on the day of arrival. Upon arrival ( unless very late) the client will be escorted through the property. Any problems or complaints should be reported to the owner within 24 hours. The property should be left clean and in the same order as when you arrived or an extra cleaning fee of a minimum 180 euros will be deducted - Attention to be paid to bathrooms/toilets, all floor surfaces, kitchen area especially oven, gas hob, fridge and BBQ (A hoover, mop and basics cleaning products will be available for the clients use). The property must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. Changeover day is SUNDAY in high season. 6. If for any reason a cancellation is required the owner must be informed in writing by recorded delivery mail. Cancellation will only be effective when this mail has been received by the owner(see Contact for address).The following charges will apply to cancellations: • 6 weeks prior to arrival date 50% of total rental cost • Between 6 and 4 weeks prior to arrival date 75% of total rental cost • Less than 4 weeks prior to arrival date 100% of total rental cost 7. The maximum number of guests to stay in the property must not exceed that stated on the booking form and agreed by the owner. 8. If the owner has to cancel your rental of the property all funds paid by the client will be refunded. 9. This contract shall be governed by French Law in every particularity including formation and interpretation and shall be deemed to have been made in France. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract may be brought in any competent jurisdiction in France. Notes and Recommendations for guests • All French euro cheques should be made payable to Robert Tabaka and sent to " Rob Tabaka, 29 Rue Des Alberes, St.Andre 66690, France". Otherwise all payments are to be made by electronic transfers to the French euro bank account that will be provided at time of booking. • Although pets are welcome the owner must be informed in advance of their arrival and strict care must be taken as to the condition and hygiene of the property on their departure. • We respectfully ask clients not to smoke inside the property and to take special care when putting out cigarettes outside due to fire risks. • Please read all safety and security notices posted at the property. • The swimming pool has an infra-red security alarm installed but please remember that children must remain the responsibility of parents/guardians during their stay at the property. Young Children must not use the pool unsupervised. No glass, china or sharp objects are permitted by the pool, please use plastic plates and cups. Any sharp or foreign objects found in the pool that may necessitate the drainage and/or cleaning of the pool will incur a charge to the client.
